La Piqueta La Piqueta, Nerja

La Piqueta is a small tapas bar almost at the bottom end of calle Pintada.

The bar itself is reasonably small but there is an ample terrace outside, large barrels being used as tables.

The main wall area of the bar is decorated with wine bottles of all shapes and sizes as well as photos showing Nerja as it was many, many years ago.

This is one of those, not too common, bars where you do not actually choose your own tapa, rather it is presented to you when you get your drink.

I would assume, though, that should you have special dietary requests or needs (vegetarian, gluten-free etc), they would be willing to oblige.

 La >Piqueta, Nerja

  1. Probably one of the best bars in Nerja; great atmostphere for such a small establishment, wines are very good as are the tapas and the menu is also worth exploring.

  2. This place REALLY disappointed me. First, let me say that Nerja is Nerja and it’s never going to be Marbella as much as some along Calle Pintada want it to be. Glass of wine: €2.50. Bottle of San Miguel: €3.00. In this economy you’ve got to be kidding, even if you do get a tapa with your drink. There are MANY other places in town nicer and less expensive than this. Beware!

don,t be such an old drip ,it,s a super place ,lovely when it,s really hot and the mist is sprayed good tapa as well.

  3. Big All says:

Nice atmosphere with friendly and hard working guys. Wines are very good and the Tapas are great but not much variation. A glass wine and a tapa is € 2,50. Looking at the location the price is to high despite the quality.

Don’t know whaty size wine you have been derinling, but you can get a wine, draft beer and several other drinks fro 1.50 euro. Fab little bar.

Fantastic bar – Have known the Ursula (the owner’s girlfriend and assistant cook in the kitchen) for many years. Warm welcome, reasonably priced drinks and tapas and an excellent variety of menu dishes of good quality and value for money. Hardworking and friendly staff and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone – see you next year guys!
