A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Avenida del Mar in the Pescaderia district of Almeria. The shooting took place at midnight on Friday, the alleged gunmen firing and wounding his intended victim and a woman who happened to be in the area parking her car. Both the injured are in Torrecardenas hospital.

A small boat carrying 14 illegal immigrants was intercepted yesterday after being detected by the SIVE surveillance system about 12 miles off Garrucha, Almeria province. The occupants were all adult Maghrebi males. Earlier in the day, a boat carrying 31 immigrants was also intercepted.
Fatal electrocution in Nijar, Almeria
A 24 year old man, a Mali national, died on Wednesday morning as a result of severe electrocution burns sustained while he was working on a power pylon in the Rambla del Artal agricultural area near Nijar, Almeria.
