Cable thefts causing problems in Rincón de la Victoria

Residents of some housing estates on the outskirts of Rincón de la Victoria, such as Parque Victoria and Los Altos de Lo Cea, have had to get used to living without street lighting for long periods as a result of persistent thefts of electrical cables.

Public asked to keep a lookout for cable thieves

The Councillor for Environment, José Miguel Jimena, has asked everyone to be on the lookout for cable thieves and to report anyone suspicious tampering with electrical installations.

Cable thieves caught in Benajarafe

Two youths aged 18 years and 20 years have been detained by Local Police in Benajarafe on suspicion of stealing electrical cabling in the area. The youths were surprised by a Local Police patrol in an urbanisation in Benajarafe and were inside a vehicle containing cutting tools and about 25 kilos of recently removed electrical cable.
