Work on El Chucho promenade is almost complete and it’s looking good. There is lighting, seating and the paved area looks virtually done. Should be opening fairly soon. Still blocked off at the moment, though.
El Chucho promenade to be finished by June
According to the Councillor for Beaches, Jonathan Méndez Hermant, the new promenade on El Chucho beach will be completed by June (2009). This project should actually have been finished last year, but the Department of Coasts, who are carrying out the project, were planning to begin last summer and the Council, keen to avoid disruption, asked for a postponement.
