The 21 year old driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal collision with two cyclists from the Ronda Cycling Club on Sunday has been charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence of alcohol. A judge in Antequera ordered the accused to be sent to prison with bail set at €50,000.
Pedestrian killed in Vélez-Málaga
A 73 year old man died on Wednesday morning as a result of being hit by a vehicle on avenida Juan Carlos I, near to the El Ingenio roundabout. The incident occurred at 08:30. The man was rushed to the Carlos Haya hospital but died shortly after admission. He had suffered multiple injuries including severe head trauma.

A 54 year old man, initials F.V.R., was killed on Wednesday after being hit by a car on the road between Torrox Costa and Torrox Pueblo near Bar La Mula. The driver of the vehicle, 22 year old J.M.G.M., suffered a minor injury to his hand and was discharged from hospital after treatment.
