The weekend saw the inauguration of the new Football 7 facility in Alhaurín El Grande, the ceremony presided over by the accidental and temporary mayor of the municipality, Antonia Ledesma.

The new Football 7 facility in Parque Verano Azul has now officially been handed over to the Council, meaning that the works are complete and it can actually be used.

The new Football 7 pitch is now looking green as work progresses and it should not be too long vefore the project is completed. The original completion period was set at five months.

The new surface in the play area in Parque Verano Azul looks good. Lockable gates have already been installed at various points around the play area but until the fence is installed around the entire area they are not much use. Elsewhere in the park, work continues on building the Football 7 pitch.
