The Council is looking to obtain the certification of Learning Community – Comunidad de Aprendizaje – for the Fuente del Badén school.
Council requests action to help the colegio Fuente del Badén
As was to be expected, the Council approved a motion requesting the provincial delegate for Education to take the necessary steps to make the school in Fuente del Baden, Nerja, a more attractive proposition for parents when it comes time to select a school for their children.

The Councillor for Education and Culture,Gema Garcia, has filed a motion to be debated and approved at the next plenary session of the Council to request the provincial delegate for Education to take the necessary steps to ensure that families within the catchment of the school in Fuente del Badén actually enroll their children in the school.
Work to resume on SUP-4 (Fuente del Baden) project
Discussions have been taking place to restart the long stalled building project in the area designated SUP-4 in Fuente del Baden. The Council has announced that some work could resume within days and the bulk as from the beginning of April. The completion time for the project is eighteen months.
SUP-4 project in Fuente del Baden temporarily halted
The promoters of the SUP-4 development in Fuente del Baden, covered under the existing PGOU (General Plan), have had to cease construction and apply for a modification to the project, despite everything being administratively in order in March 2011 when building began.
Foundation stone laid for huge building project
Today saw the laying of the foundation stone for the largest project under the current PGOU, the construction of 427 houses and a hotel, which will be one of the largest in Nerja, in Fuente del Baden.
Over 50 companies bid for SUP 4 project
Over fifty companies have put in bids for the SUP 4 (Fuente del Badén) development project, eight of whom have been asked to justify their proposals due to the low price being offered.

The Council is to push ahead with the specifications for the development of the area designated SUP-4 in Fuente del Baden following agreement with landowners in the area.

The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced the start of the process to develop a 170,640 square metre area of land in Fuente del Baden which will see the construction of up to 425 houses and a hotel.
