Price of petrol could go up by 5 cents over Christmas

The secretary general of the Association of National Service Stations, Víctor García Nebrera, has announced that petrol prices this Christmas may rise by up to five cents because of the ‘probability’ that the price of a barrel of oil will rise to $100 and because of the rate of the dollar against the euro.

Up goes the price of petrol

A 1.4% increase in the past week has pushed the price of one litre of petrol above the €1.20 mark for the first time since July 2008. The price of diesel has gone up by 1.16%.
