The people’s choice

The decision has been made, Puente Viejo will return to being an asphalt surface following a public survey carried out by the Council.

A bridge so far

Work has started on repairing the Puente Viejo, damaged by a spillage of residual waters after the recent storms.

To cobble or not to cobble, that is the question

The Council has opened an ‘ask the public’ survey to determine whether to renew the cobbles on the puente viejo, currently closed for repairs, or to replace the cobbles with asphalt.

Bridge closed for essential repairs

As from today, the Puente Viejo (the cobbled bridge into Nerja from the direction of Torrox) is closed to traffic due to a ruptured collector and subsequent damage being caused to the pavement by residual waters.
