The infrastructure company FCC has informed unions of its intention to present an ERE affecting 1,143 workers in the construction sector in Spain. The reasons given for the proposed lay-offs are on the grounds of the economic situation, productivity and reorganisation.
Isofoton workers on strike
Workers at Isofoton in Málaga have begun the first of five days of strikes in protest at the company’s proposal to lay off 380 of it’s 657 employees at the factory. Pickets have been at the gates to prevent access to the factory.
Redundancy negotiations in Martos, Jaén
Negotiations are taking place today between the management of the company Eldon in Martos, Jaén, and the unions to improve the redundancy payments to the 74 employees being laid off as the company moves its operations to Rumania.
