During 2014, the NGO Social Organisation for Humanitarian Action (OSAH) collected a total of 12,990 kilos of used clothing and footwear via the containers distributed throughout the municipality.
More containers for used clothing
The Council has approved an agreement with the Organización Social de Acción Humanitaria, OSAH, for the supply and maintenance of five containers for used clothing, thus swiftly complying with the resolution of January 20th 2009 by the Secretary of State for Climate Change which stipulates that there must be a minimum of one container per 3,000 inhabitants.

During 2009, a total of 16,900 kilos of used clothing were collected in Nerja ready to be sorted, processed and redistributed for various good causes.
