Friday July 10th and Saturday July 11th sees the annual Verbena de San Cristóbal taking place in the Barriada de los Poetas (the area near the bottom of San Juan de Capistrano), with most events being held in the playground area.

On the opening night of the Verbena de San Cristóbal in the Barriada de los Poetas in Nerja, it was the election, by lottery, of the young Queen and Knight.

The local Verbena de San Cristóbal takes place this coming weekend in the Barriada de Los Poetas (up near San Juan de Capistrano), with a full schedule of events planned. The festivities will, as per the norm, be preceded by a volley of cruise missiles, leaving no-one in doubt that something is going on! The schedule is as follows:
