A 24 year old woman was shot dead by her husband on Saturday during a brawl in the Madrid suburb of Villaverde. Another woman, aged 23 years, was shot in the thigh.

In yet another case of domestic violence, a 79 year old man in Madrid has stabbed and killed his 77 year old wife and then tried to take his own life with the same weapon.
