Very good beach restaurant with a large terrace and plenty of space inside as well. Good food, good service and often the scene of ‘live’ music in the evenings.
There’s a pool table and, of course, a view of the beach and the sea. A beer will cost you €1.50 and you can get paella for €7 (August 2009).

I have used the bar for many years and it is located right on the beach. Watched a live band last July 2010, and had an excellent night of music and alcohol. Brilliant atmosphere and well worth a visit if a band is playing. Have not really sampled the menu, but the bar always seems busy by the beach crowd during the day, and is a great place to escape the mid day sun with a cool beer.
Love Papagayo! Great place to nip up from the beach and cool down with a long drink and a bite to eat during the hottest part of the day. Also have had some fab evenings there when they have live music on. It’s quirky and has character, great location but don’t go if you have a cat phobia as lots of Nerja’s famous cat population tend to hang around it (I personally love cats so this doesn’t bother me at all).
