El Chucho beach is situated between Torrecilla beach and El Playazo beach and a new promenade was officially inaugurated in February 2010.
This promenade links to the existing Torrecilla beach promenade and will also eventually join up with the proposed El Playazo promenade, although this latter project is still several years away at the moment.
El Chucho beach is roughly 280 long and is quite sheltered by the Torrecilla promontory. It does, however, suffer considerable damage during stormy winter weather and the sand has to be replenished on a regular basis.
The water deepens fairly gently, no real shelf as such, which means it is a good place for kids.
Behind the promenade is the Perla Marina Hotel and apartment complex where there is a restaurant and cafeteria. It is also an easy walk to the bars and restaurants on Torrecilla beach or to El Playazo, although the latter is a little further.
