Council once again asking the Junta to ‘pay up’

The Council has once again expressed its displeasure at the fact that not a single euro has arrived from the Junta de Andalucia with respect to the Youth Employment Plan, particularly as 80% of the funds come from the state and EU coffers and only have to be passed on.

The Council wants the money to pay the payroll of workers who have already been recruited under this programme. The remaining 20% of the funding, designed for equipment and supplies, is the responsibility of the individual municipalities themselves.

Other municipalities are also reportedly awaiting the receipt of funds under the Plan.
