The Guardia Civil have arrested four people, one a minor, following a knife attack on Saturday night in in Puerto Serrano, Cádiz, in which a Local Police officer lost an eye and suffered numerous other facial injuries.
The incident occurred at 23:40 on Saturday when two police officers arrested one of the men on suspicion of reckless driving.
Two brothers and one of their sons then arrived on the scene, these being members of a family known locally as ‘Los Cachimba’. The family then barricaded themselves in a house and began pelting the police with various objects, at which point the Guardia Civil were also called to the scene.
The injured officer lost an eye in the incident and also suffered various facial injuries, including to the mouth, and is currently in hospital in Jerez de la Frontera.
