Asphalting finished

The Council has finished the asphalting work on calle Puento Viejo, calles Rafael Alberti, Dámaso Alonso, Solana, Julio Romero, Antonio Jímenez and the access road to the Sierra Almijara school. The works cost €46,000.


Injured walker rescued

Hotel Mena Plaza

Hotel Mena Plaza, NerjaSeveral years after the completion of Plaza de España, formerly Paseo Nuevo, the first business is operating in the square. It is the new two star Hotel Mena Plaza. The square is, of course, the site of the Nerja History Museum, or will be when the political wranglings cease and it is eventually completed.


Crafts market in Plaza de España

From now until September 5th, the Plaza de España is the site of a crafts market with the opportunity to see the handmade objects being produced. There are twenty stalls and the market is open daily in the mornings and evenings.

More police bikes

Local Police, NerjaThe Trafico section of the Local Police has taken delivery of four new motorcycles, adding to the eight they already have. The new machines are 650 cc Kawasaki’s and cost a total of €24,527.04. The Councillor for Public Safety, Jonathan Méndez, also announced that the Local Police would be getting two more cars in an effort to improve the material resources of the police.
