More than three hundred seniors attended the Saint Valentine’s Day bash at the Sala La Fábrica in Nerja and there was a prize for the couple who had been married the longest.
The traditional (this is its fourth year) celebration meal was attended by over three hundred people from Nerja and Maro. Entertainment was provided by the dulcet tones of local singer Antonio Cortés.
A special award was presented to Antonio Moreno and Maria Villena who have been married now for 51 years. The award was presented by local councillor Angelica Portillo. Asked what the secret was to their long marriage, the answer was ‘respect, and much love’.
