Two motorcyclists have been detained in León on suspicion of being involved in illegal road races. On various occasions, the pair were clocked at speeds of around 300kph.
The two men were videotaped by a witness to their high-speed capers and the Guardia Civil stepped in. The infringements took place mainly on the CL-631 highway between Ponferrada and Vilalablino, although on one occasion they were recorded traveling at 200kph in a 40 kph zone.
The Guardia Civil have been studying the recordings and believe that each motorcyclist committed in the region of 30 serious motoring offences which would mean the loss of 400 license points each!!
