Another stretch of the A-45 from Antequera to Córdoba will be officially inaugurated today by the Minister of Development, Magdalena Álvarez.
The whole project, which when completed will reduce the journey time between Málaga and Córdoba from two and a half hours to around one and a half hours, was started five years ago and, little by little, has been taking shape.
The latest section is a 13.3 km stretch between Antequera and Benamejí which, initially, runs parallel to the N-331 and goes on to join the A-92 north of Antequera. There are two more sections to complete before the full benefits of the project can be enjoyed by motorists.
It is estimated that, as from today, between 11,000 and 21,000 vehicles will use this new section on a daily basis.
