Cocaine busts in Sevilla and Madrid

The National Police have arrested two people, one at Madrid airport and one at Sevilla airport, with, between them, more than 12 kilos of cocaine in their suitcases.

Rafael HF, a 19 year old Spaniard, was detained at Sevilla airport when he went to collect his suitcases. Inside, hidden in metal cylinders, was 5 kilos of cocaine.

Ferando PA, a 43 year old Spaniard, arrived at Madrid airport where he was discovered to have 7.4 kilos of cocaine hidden in his luggage. He had two passports, both having been reported as stolen some time earlier, and he had been using them alternately as he transited various countries.

Both men were returning from Brazil via Portugal and were apparently planning to make a similar journey later in the year. But not now! They have been duly charged with trafficking in drugs.
