A total of 54 people lost their lives on the Spanish roads over the Easter holiday period, 45 less than last year. A further 14 people were seriously injured. For many people, the return journey this year was hampered by heavy winds, rain and snow.
In Andalucía, six people lost their lives and a further nine were injured.
