The body of a 15 year old who went missing in Canillas de Aceituno on March 31st has been found in the mountains.
The body of Manuel Marín Hidalgo, aged 15 years, has been found in an area of the local mountains known as Peñon Grande (Big Rock), about two kilometres from the town. The boy disappeared on March 31st after telling a friend he would not be going to football training that day.
The discovery of the body comes after a large-scale search involving volunteers, Local Police from several municipalities, Guard Civil, Civil Protection and members of the Emergency Group of Andalusia. The area where the body was found is very steep and access is very difficult. The police are not ruling out any hypotheses at the moment as regards the cause of death.
