Thirty years prison and €6 million fine for traffickers

A court in Sevilla has sentenced three drugs traffickers to a total of 30 years in prison.

The Audiencia de Sevilla has sentenced three men to ten years in jail for trafficking in heroin. They have also each been fined €2,268,110, being the market value of the drugs.

The three men were arrested on February 8th 2006 whilst transporting the drugs from a storage area on the urbanisation Tixe in Coria del Río. They had just collected the 58 packages of heroin and were driving along with their lights off when they were intercepted by the police.

The men are believed to be part of an ‘extended family’ of drugs traffickers operating in Dos Hermanas.
