The first seafront cycle path along the Axarquia coast has been completed in Rincón de la Victoria.
The two and a half metre wide cycle path runs for three kilometres between Rincón de la Victoria and La Cala del Moral and was constructed at a cost of €54,600.
The work was divided into two phases and also included the intallation of various pieces of gymnastic apparatus along the way so that cyclists can practice abdominal exercises! The project, which should actually have been completed in January, was financed by the Ministry of Tourism, Trade and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía (60%) and Rincón de la Victoria Council (40%).
The Ministry of the Environment will be responsible for maintaining the cycle path. Nothing like getting everybody involved!
