The rains arrived in the province most needing it, Almería, but it did cause problems both there and in Jaén.
The rains hit Almería but it was not without incidents as firefighters had to answer numerous calls for assistance. In Jaén province, 15 people had to be rescued from flooded homes after 62 litres of rain per square metre fell on the capital.
