A 40 year old man has died as a result of a domestic dispute in the town of Madroñera, Cáceres.
Local Police received a phone call stating that two people were involved in a heated discussion in calle Cervantes Saavedra. When the police arrived on the scene they found a man and a woman, both bleeding. The man died five minutes later.
It would appear that the man, who was the subject of a restraining order, attacked his former partner with an axe and she defended herself with a knife, although no weapons were found at the scene. The woman, originally from Madrid but now working in the area as a home help (!!), was treated at the local health centre.
