Strike called off in Huelva

A proposed strike this weekend by hostelry workers in Huelva has been called off after an agreement was reached with employers.

The UGT and CCOO Unions met with employers and hammered out a new collective agreement which will run for two years, expiring on December 31st 2009. Points agreed include pay increases, working conditions, travel allowances in view of rising fuel costs and fixed percentage commitments to employment in small businesses.
