In yet another case of gender violence, all too frequent these days, a 42 year old woman died at her home in Portas, Pontevedra.
The son of the woman called the Emergency Services to inform them that his mother had been violently assaulted. When they arrived on the scene, they found the lifeless body of the woman. She had died from strangulation.
The Guardia Civil arrested the husband at a road junction near the house and he is now in custody pending an initial court hearing.
