Eight people have been arrested in Madrid and Toledo as part of ‘Operación Escudero’, an investigation into frauds carried out in the province of Jaén.
The frauds have become known as the ‘Nazareth scams’ as they take part during the last quarter of each year. The amount involved is around €600,000 and the investigation began after an olive oil mill owner in Quesada reported being conned out of €60,000.
