Snow up to half a metre deep has been affecting parts of Málaga province and power outages have left people in the dark and without heating in some cases.
In Canillas de Aceituno, over 1,000 people were left without power from 22:00 yesterday, Saturday, and there were also problems in the neighbouring towns of Arenas, Sedella, Sayalonga, Canillas de Albaida and Archez.
The residents of Alcaucín were left all night without electricity, the problem only being resolved this morning. On this occasion it was snow and falling trees causing the problem.
Repairing the various faults has not been easy due to the heavy snowfalls, with some roads blocked.
Machines have been out most of today trying to clear away the mountains of snow.
