A man is in intensive care at Carlos Haya Hospital in Málaga after after falling from the fourth floor of a building while trying to escape from a fire.
A fire started on the fourth floor of a building in calle Francisco Carter, located in the Palma-Palmilla district of Málaga, at around 00:20 last night. While firefighters, medical personnel and Local and National Police were tackling the situation, a man decided to exit his fourth floor home using a blanket as a rope.
The blanket didn’t hold and the man fell. He was rushed to Carlos Haya Hospital and is now in Intensive Care.
One other person, a 19 year old, suffered slight injuries but was treated at the scene and din’t require hospitalisation.
The fire was extinguished at around 02:50.
