Vélez-Málaga Council is asking the police and state security forces present in the town to increase activity relating to the removal of drug outlets in both Vélez and Torre del Mar.
The Council is also asking for a general increase in police presence on the streets in the aftermath of a number of armed robberies in the town in recent weeks.
