A wet start to February

It has certainly been a wet start to February in Málaga province, with 31 litres per square metre falling in the capital so far.

The Sierra de Mijas has had 49.4 litres per square metre of accumulated water, Marbella 52,4 litres, Ojén 52.1 litres, Coin 48.6 litres, Ronda 26.6 litres and Torrox 24 litres.

There were landslides on the MA-7304 in Igualeja and on the MA-8401 near Ronda, falling trees and billboards have caused several roads to be temporarily closed and the Bobadilla-Algeciras rail link was out for s short time, also because of a landslide.

The current bad weather, particularly the rains, are currently expected to continue until Thursday of next week,
