Incommunicado

A rockslide on the GR-4200 left the small village of Soportújar, population 300, cut off from the rest of the world and it will probably be Monday before the road is considered safe to use.

Workers have been clearing the debris from the road, but although the road is now open as such, it is not advisable to use it as there is a risk of further landslides due to a large amount of water still spilling down the hillside.

Once the road has been properly cleared, the idea is to rebuild the containment wall and add a couple more at intervals up the hillside.
