Two detained for real estate fraud

UDYCO police officers have arrested two people as the alleged perpetrators of a real estate scam involving the sale of houses in Cádiz.

The pair were taking money, either fees or deposits, from people all over the country for the purchase of houses in Cádiz. The only problem was that it was the same few houses involved each time. Fees received would range from between €7,000 and €30,000.

Around 200 people are believed to have been affected by the scam.
