Guardia Civil officers in Almería have rescued nine illegal immigrants from their sinking boat about three kilometres from the coast and a search is underway to find two others who went missing.
The sinking boat was discovered about three kilometres from the coast near Morrón de los Genoveses and the nine passengers were transferred to a rescue boat. The survivors are all adults and in apparent good health.
