The final touches are being put on the new roundabout near Punta Lara on the old N-340 as the project nears completion.
The project, costing €345,000. started last October with an implementation period of five months, so no bad going this time. It was financed by the Ministry of Development as part of a €1.5 million package agreed when the municipality of Nerja took over administrative control of the old N-340 coast road.
Several other projects have still to be carried out under this agreement, including another roundabout near Maro. Under a separate plan to stimulate employment, a roundabout is also now to be built near calle Puente Viejo.
