The Local Police has been tracking some 70 vehicles which were, or are, in contravention of Law 19/98 dated April 21st relating to Urban Solid Waste.
Some of the vehicles are definitely abandoned wrecks, others are damaged or are just being parked ‘indefinitely’ by their owners.
One of the vehicles has already been removed from the street by the authorities after passing the deadline, a further 32 have been removed voluntarily by the owners, another 19 owners have been ordered to remove the offending vehicles and the remainder are being ‘monitored’.
