The Guardia Civil is investigating the discovery of a charred corpse in the village of La Cala, part of the municipality of La Cala de Mijas.
The grisly remains were found in a drainage pipe not far from the football field in La Cala de Mijas in an area known as La Rosa.
As only the skull and torso remained, it has not been possible even to discover the sex or age of the victim and a post mortem is being carried out. It would appear that the body was burnt the night before but some sort of combustion accelerator was used to remove an clues as to the identity of the victim or the perpetrators.
