A 28 year old local resident of Gádor, Almería, has been arrested and charged with faking a crime, document fraud and forgery. And not for the first time.
The woman was making an insurance claim relating to the theft of her bag, allegedly containing €930 in cash and her documents. However, she had made exactly the same claim on several previous occasions, the last time being on March 17th in Vícar. On this latter occasion she was also arrested and charged.
Further investigation revealed she had also made two denuncias to the Guardia Civil in Roquetas de Mar concerning an alleged theft. Each time she went to the insurance company, her claim was exactly the same and related to the same documents each time, none of which she had renewed at any stage.
One insurance company has, in fact, already paid out relating to this alleged theft.
