A fire in the El Serrallo mountain area of Granada is now under control after threatening at one time to spread to the town of Balcón del Genil.
A total of 42 firefighters, 6 technicians, 3 fire engines, 3 helicopters and a couple of planes were involved in the fight to control the fire which started early on Thursday afternoon.
According to witnesses, the fire was started deliberately and the police are looking for a couple of motorists seen fleeing the scene at the outbreak of the fire.
