At around 06:30 this morning, Guardia Civil officers located a boat stranded on playa de La Aceitera in the Zahora area of Barbate. The officers also found four bodies.
The boat is thought to have been carrying up to 40 illegal immigrants and the search is now on for the remaining passengers.
In addition to the four bodies, two men and two women of Moroccan origin, the police found a very young boy with broken ribs and suffering from hyperthermia. The boy has been taken to Hospital de Puerto Real in Cádiz where his condition is described as ‘very serious’.
