On Thursday, Local police detained two men in calle Larios, Málaga, who were trying to pass counterfeit €50 notes.
The two men, an Israeli and a Palestinian, had been wandering from shop to shop in calle Larios trying to pass off forged banknotes. When detained, they still had two counterfeit notes in their possession as well as some valid notes, presumably from earlier exchanges.
One of the detainees was later to be found to be in Spain illegally.
