Police have detained the eldest son of Maria Estela Espinosa Ruiz, the woman who was found dead yesterday, along with her six month old son, at her home in Retiro, Madrid.
Maria Estela Espinosa Ruiz and her young son were found dead at their home in calle Luis Mitjans when firemen arrived to investigate a fire in the house. The bodies showed signs of violence.
The detainee, Gabriel G.E., is the 22 year old son of Maria Estela Espinosa Ruiz from a previous relationship and is under medical treatment for mental disorder. He admits killing his mother and brother and setting fire to the house.
The incident occurred just hours after the current partner of Maria Estela Espinosa Ruiz, and father of the baby, Miguel A.M.D. was released from police custody.
