A boat carrying 35 illegal immigrants was intercepted on Thursday afternoon about 500 metres from Castillo de Baños beach in Gualchos-Castell de Ferro, Granada province.
The small boat was first detected by the SIVE surveillance system and then intercepted by members of the Maritime Rescue Service and Guardia Civil. The passengers were taken to the port of Motril.
All the occupants were adult males and all were said to be in good health.
