The president of the Junta de Andalucía, José Antonio Griñán, has announced a new €203 million economic stimulus package designed to directly create around 1,600 jobs and maintain an undetermined number of other jobs.
Much of the package relates to infrastructure projects, with €132 million destined for the metro in Granada, a tram service in the Bahía de Cádiz and various road improvements in five provinces.
There is €68 million available to support eleven business projects in the region, mainly covering the aeronautical, metallurgical, renewable energy, telecommunications and natural stone industries.
