Nerja Town Hall is set to receive 10% more funding next year from the provincial government under the Plan de Concertación Málaga Evoluciona en Red 2008-2011.
The funds are to be allocated to various local projects as outlined in the draft agreement. This agreement has to be approved, signed and sent to the provincial authorities before the end of the year for it to be adopted for next year.
Nerja will receive, in total, €655,000 under this new agreement, apportioned as follows:
- Infrastructure, Public Works and Services: €446,000
- Youth and Sports: €60,000
- Culture: €45,000
- Fiestas and Tourism: €37,000
- Services: €15,000
- Technical Assistance: €50,000
The infrastructure projects will be the usual lighting, improvement of rural roads, road signs, asphalting and improvements to various sports facilities.
