One man died and two police officers were injured in a shootout in Campanillas, Málaga province.
Police were called to a domestic disturbance in the Santa Rosalía-Maqueda area of Campanillas and upon arrival found a 31 year old woman and her boyfriend suffering from stab wounds. All indications were that the attacker had been the 54 year old father of the woman who was apparently unhappy with his daughter’s new partner.
The man was located an hour after the stabbing incident sitting in a van and armed with a shotgun. After unsuccessfully trying to get past a police vehicle blocking his path, a gunfight broke out in which two policemen were injured, one of them seriously, and the aggressor was shot dead.
